Senior SEO Strategist


After a string of successful wins, we are looking for a Senior SEO Strategist to join our growing London Team to work across a range of clients in varied industries.

We need our SEO’s to understand our client’s industry and the search landscape they operate within by reviewing all aspects of search performance. Starting with pulling a site apart and identifying the roadblocks to success and how to overcome them with site audits right through to briefing internal teams on key areas and opportunities so they can take charge of link and content strategy.

You will be responsible for developing the strategy, ensuring it is communicated to everyone on the account, generating client confidence and getting it implemented whilst supported by an extensive internal team of area specialists alongside a talented member of our Client Services Team.

You will be comfortable pushing through new ideas and ways of thinking to deliver the best results possible for your clients whilst also be willing to share your experience and knowledge with junior members of the team through training sessions and the day to day work they will do alongside you.

This role would suit someone with demonstrable years’ experience in SEO.

The Senior SEO Strategist will:

  • Working with our PR, Content and Data Teams to deliver award-winning creative assets
  • Create data-driven strategies for clients/prospects
  • Have excellent knowledge of technical SEO
  • Take ownership of the implementation of client strategy
  • Communicate objectives, strategy, and results with clients and teams


  • Take ownership of Edit’s strategic response to new business briefs assigned to you
  • Compile written responses/presentations
  • Brief internal teams with requirements for data/analysis/creative
  • Take responsibility for new business output of insights/content/PR/social media/design and UX/technical SEO, meeting your strategic requirements
  • Research and analyse target audiences for clients in your portfolio
  • Brief teams with findings
  • Develop and deliver all strategies for clients in your portfolio
  • Get recommendations from insights/content/PR/social media/design prioritise actions
  • Work with Client Services to book in tasks to deliver actions
  • Brief and approve strategic work from insights/content/PR/social, media/design, and UX and take responsibility for the strategic output of other teams
  • Take responsibility for ensuring creative meets the strategic requirements of your clients
  • Brief relevant teams with requirements for analysis/diagnosis of specific issues
  • Take ownership of reporting to clients in your portfolio
  • Take responsibility for the quality and suitability of data reported (by all channels)
  • Monitor client performance using tools such as Search Console, Google Analytics, Searchmetrics, etc.)
  • Develop your understanding of all channels within Edit’s proposition
  • Train junior members of the team and educate the wider business and clients as needed
